The cultural heritage of Anatolia and the Caucasus is a testament to the regions' rich and diverse histories, yet it faces significant challenges today. Turkey, has been a melting pot of civilizations like the Hittites, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks, and Ottomans. This confluence created a diverse cultural landscape, evident in ancient ruins, grand mosques, and traditional practices. Similarly, the Caucasus, encompassing Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, is renowned for its unique languages, vibrant folklore, and traditional crafts, influenced by Turkish, Russian and Persian cultures.

However, preserving these rich cultural heritages is increasingly challenging. Large infrastructure projects like China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) threaten archaeological sites and disrupt local traditions. Rapid urbanization and modernization can lead to the loss of historical landmarks and traditional ways of life. Climate change poses another significant threat, with rising temperatures and extreme weather events damaging ancient structures and altering the landscapes that have shaped these cultures for centuries.

Additionally, political instability and conflicts in the regions can hinder preservation efforts and lead to the neglect or destruction of cultural sites. Addressing these challenges requires a collaborative effort involving governments, local communities, and international organizations to ensure that the cultural legacies of Anatolia and the Caucasus are safeguarded for future generations.
